Our Goals

The Board of Directors of Purdue ASME fosters a strong, cohesive community through mentorship, professional development, social events, and team sports. By providing guidance, support, and engaging activities, the board creates an inclusive environment where members build lasting connections and develop leadership skills.

Mentorship

ASME is a large organization with members ranging from freshman to graduate students. The Board of Directors provides a way for students to learn from each other in the form of mentorship between under and upperclassmen. This includes intentional pairing of mentors and mentees based on interests and skills as well as hosting events to help foster growth and development.

Community

Through intermural sports and social events, the Board of Directors strives to foster a fun, collaborative, and enjoyable community for ASME members to get away from the stress of schoolwork.

Leadership

The Board of Directors provides direction and assistance to future leaders, ensuring continuity and growth. By sharing knowledge and experience, we help officers make informed decisions and navigate challenges effectively.
