ASME - Aero.PNG

ASME's newest design team, the ASME Aero Team, provides students with hands-on experience in designing and optimizing Unmanned Aerial Systems, 3D-printed gliders, and solar-powered aircraft. Through these projects, members develop skills in CAD, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and electronics while tackling real-world engineering challenges.

The ASME Aero Drone Systems design team is focused on providing students with the opportunity to design & optimize efficient Unmanned Aerial Systems. With the goal of competing in the California State University Unmanned Aerial Systems competition, students will gain experience going through the design & manufacturing cycles & designing around engineering requirements & time constraints. This will add to their problem-solving skills part of their already vast toolbelts as they go into industry. Those who get involved will set themselves up with a foundation in CAD, FEA, and robotic systems that will give them the confidence to work on even more advanced projects in the future.
